Transunion FINALLY removed the last negative from my report......................... only to place a collection account over seven years old on it!!!!! Collection company is Arrow Financial. On my report the dates are all screwed, and it looks like it was placed in collection in 1999. What do I do first??? I have my finger on the button to call Transunion, but I don't want them to come back with the we validated it bull!!!
Send a validation letter to the collection agency CRRR. Wait 5 days after you get the green card back and send a dispute to TU. That way you are working it from both ends. Calling TU sounds like a great idea but it will probably get you nowhere or at best to enter the account in dispute which you want to do CRRR anyway to have your proof. -Peace, Dave
Well, I was furious, so I contacted TU. I explained to her that the account was well over eight years old, but the CA is reporting it. She then told me her records showed that it would come off in December 2002, but I could dispute this now. I am confused as to why it was added back to my report in the first place. I am also wondering did they use a different account number to place it on my report, or was it suppressed all this time and TU decided to show it because I no longer have any other negatives. I feel like I am losing my mind! But I am positive of the date that this originally went delinquent.
