I've been asking for suggestions on a Nextcard account that won't go away. EQ keeps verifying it. Today, with all this mess on EQ, I wasn't able to pull my report. I was however able to do another on line investigation. So I disputed Nextcard.....AGAIN. After that, I purchased a new report, since I wasn't able to pull one. Nextcard now shows NO LATES AND PAID AS AGREED!!! But now they are investigating it again. It shows reinvestigation in progress. Does that mean they will readd all the lates???? I called them and tried to CANCEL the dispute, but was told they can't cancel it once it's started! Will they now add all the negative back????? What do I do???? Mysti_Summer
I THINK (!!!) that when you dipute, during the investigation, they change the TL to positive until the investigation is done. I am not 100% sure on this so wait for others to clarify.
I feel your pain. About 3 days after I sent out several nastygrams to OC's I have been working for several months, I get a "results investigation" from CSC. Each and everyone of those I sent out letters to had been updated to positives or deleted. After digging thru my files because I had no disputes in process, the only thing I can figure out is that CSC found a letter I wrote in November lieing around, and figured they had never done an investigation, so they gave me what I wanted. I don't have any advice, but I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you.
Thanks jlynn!! IrishEyes, I know what you mean, but I have been disputing this account for almost a year. Normally when it's under investigation, as it has been about 8 times in the last year, I can STILL see all the late pays and it shows "SETTLEMENT ON ACCOUNT" with "CONSUMER DISPUTES THIS ACCOUNT-REINVESTIGATION IN PROGRESS" right under that. So even while disputed, I can see the negetives on it. Today, however, it shows NO LATES, NO SETTLEMENT, NO DEROGS....just "CONSUMER DISPUTES-REINVESTIGATION IN PROGRESS". So....will they/can they readd this information?? Mysti_Summer
Well now that you put it that way... They have done that to me before. I have never figured out the rhyme or reason for it. It doesn't happen all the time, but the baddies come back
