    I applied for a house loan last april. I got rejected and decided to clean up my credit history.
    I came a long way from where I started, I cleaned a $20K Repo with Premier Auto Finance. And bunch of other small items by just disputing them online. Well here what is left.

    Negative Items

    Experian:
    Bank OF America (Credit Card)
    Status:Closed/Current, was past due 60 days.
    Status Details: This account is scheduled to continue on record until 3-2007.
    This item was verified on 5-2003 and remained unchanged.

    BANK OF AMERICA (Secured Credit Card)
    Status:paid/Account charged off. $77 written off.
    Status Details: This account is scheduled to continue on record until 8-2004.This item was verified and updated on 5-2003.

    GRANT & WEBER
    Status: Collection account. $71 past due as of 5-2003
    Original Creditor: CEDARS-SINAI IMAGE MED GROUP

    SUPERIOR COLLECTION
    Status:Collection account. $73 past due as of 3-2003.
    Original Creditor: WEST VALLEY RADIOLOGY INC. A

    TransUnion: 638
    BANK OF AMERICA (Secured Credit Card)
    Status:Collection/Account charged off. $77 written off.

    COLL CONSULT
    Status:Collection. $213
    Original Creditor: KAISER FOUNDATION HEALTH PLAN

    Equifax: 700
    Bank of America
    Status:Bad debt/collection (Balance=$0) Account closed by consumer
    Account transferred or sold

    MY PLAN is to pay the medical bills, I think I can get those deleted easy. I talked to CA's.My biggest concern is the BoA account, It $77 written off. I called BoA a few times, they said they sold the account to NCO. I called them (my bad) they said they will send me the account info for only $283. I told them I don't owe anything to anyone, they said they are willing to send me an aggrement for $100. I refused to pay and disputed the item. Now what do I do? It's verified/stands as it is on my credit.

    I am trying to correct my personal data as well. Equifax have my last name wrong and recently updated my address from 1997. But my last name is still wrong. I will fax them my DL,SS card and gas bill.
    One last thing, they got my last name wrong at NCO. I am thinking BoA has a wrong last name as well. Is this worth anything?

    And there is a 60 day late on another BoA account. I disputed the item already. It was verified by Equifax and changed to Paid/Never Late. Experian on the other had verfied it and decided it should remain the same. Any ideas?

    I sent a check to NCO , but I put a hold on it before they cashed it. Did I resest the 7 year cloak?

    Reply if you had similar problems, I am trying to clean these as soon as possible. Thanks for reading.

    Hi LosAngeles,

    I want a house by the beach too, a big one, really big, so everyone can come visit. We all want a house on the beach!!!!!!!!!! LOL, just playing with ya.

    Don't pay for validation information. NCO can't charge you for it shame on them!!!!!!!! It's a requirement that is be provided once something is disputed or they must cease collection. Reporting and continued reporting is a collection activity.

    I don't know how long ago you wrote the check but that is BOGUS, even them asking for payment for the required documentation is a violation. You didn't reset any clock!

    I'd not pay the medicals without going through the validation process first. If they even can validate. They have more hoops to jump through with the hipaa requirements recently in force.

    Did you put a hold or a stop payment on the check? Good thing if you did, cause you would blown any leverage you have over them. Demand validation of the account NCO has.

    For the medical collections, try whychat's hipaa letter:

    http://community-2.webtv.net/YCHANGE/STORAGE/page14.html

    Be sure to follow the instructions *EXACTLY*.

    No house on the beach for me.....trying to get a restaurant on the beach though!

    You have a nice EQ score and can take some comfort in that you only need two clean reports for your home loan, lender will probably take the middle. So you have just one more decent CRA to go.

    I would definetely put a stop payment on the NCO and start validation.

    Medicals shouldn't be too much of a problem to get rid of....you have so many options....Hippa, validation, settle for deletion. If you settle for deletion on anything, GET IT IN WRITING. I settled a bunch of CA medical accounts awhile ago, paying for deletion.

    If you can't resist calling your creditors, caution! Admit to nothing, other than you would like to settle the alleged account.

    BTW, I see you have a CA from Collection Consultants on your TU report, they were one of the CA's I settled with for deletion. You TU is looking pretty good, you just have two baddies on there, one of which is a medical. Maybe getting rid of the medical might bump your TU score up to qualify for a prime loan?? Your BofA chargeoff is pretty old, and still giving a 700 on your EQ FICO, looks pretty hopeful for your TU score if you get the CA from Collection Consultants deleted.

    Good Luck!

    All right I wrote the hippa letters. I will pay them with money order. I will only send them the blance shown on my credit reports.

    What about the BoA accouts? I disputed the account before sending a a validation letter under the FBCA and FCRA. CRA verified it.
    Should I start from begining? meaning send validation first and dispute after green card.

    Or should I proceed to the next step and request procedural evidence right away?

    Do I have a time limit to request procedural evidence?

    If BoA sold the account to NCO, it should be reporting balance -0- sold or transferred.

    I called NCO on the phone. Asking for a settlement latter for deletation. They said they sent it 5 days a go. I havent recieved it yet.

    I called all three CA's for medical bills. Collection Consultants said they are sending the settlement latter. Grant and Weber refused to send me the sattlement, she said she will fax it as soon as I pay my debt. I refused to pay upfront she hangup on me. Same with Superior collection bureau. They refused to send me the latter, She also told me "deletation is extra" meaning I have to pay for deletation.

    I am sending Hipaa latters and validation latters to BoA.

    ++++++++++++++
    I would Send them a Validation letter
    Get them on violations and by the time I got done with them they would wish they had never heard of me.

    They turned down your easy profitable offer so give them what they want the hard costly loosing way.

    I was going to follow Whychat's suggestion.

    " DO NOT under any circumstances, write or correspond with the CA regarding this matter, any correspondence or communication that YOU instigate will be deemed to be a waiver of your privacy rights under HIPAA,and will impede any cause of action you might have.

    Please understand, the CA has NO liabilty under HIPAA, they were NOT the health provider, and are not in any way covered undr the provisions of the act for "old accounts".
    "

    So I should send a validation latter?

    . Reporting and continued reporting is a collection activity.$1000.
    them asking for payment for the required documentation is a violation. $1000
    Total $2000.
    Tell them to forget the $77 and clear it off CRA reports unless they prefer to pay you the $2000.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`````````''''''''''''
    Too Much
    Should LA pay the ca the 77 and let them off the hook for the 2000,
    Or should the CA pay their dues just like you expect LA to pay the 77?
    ??????????????????????????
    I want a house by the beach too, a big one, really big, so everyone can come visit. We all want a house on the beach!!!!!!!!!! LOL,
    =====================
    Everybody can't live at the beach lol
    With those scores, you should be able to get a mortgage now.
