JC Penney was my first credit card (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth). Seriously though, back then they called it a Young Moderns card and it had a $100 limit, so you had to pay it down to be able to charge more, but it worked for me. Hey, I was only taking home $168.00 twice a month and had a $96 car payment. I included them in a CH 13 in 1994, but never went through with it. It was dismissed same year and is only showing on EQ. On TU it shows "unrated". I'm trying to rebuild and would like to get this account reactivated. QUESTION: Any chance they might consider it? I was thinking of doing a PFB thing.
Hi I had one too that we paid and closed just before a Bk.in '93 I recently PFB'd them and asked the very same thing if I could get hte old acct reinstated...I few weeks later all they could do is send me a new application. I am very impatiently waiting for a few things to get off my reports to re-apply...I know they would just turn me down if I apply now...boo hoo Good luck Jamie
Jamie, Any idea which CRA they pull? BTW, does "sbd" stand for that city that used to have an Air Force base? Matt
Hi Heres a link..looks like JCP pulls experian http://consumers.creditnet.com/cc/faq/17.html Also sbd are my 3 kiddos initials ) Jamie
Thanks. SBD(San Bernardino) was the FAA code for Norton AFB. It's always interesting to see what screen names stand for.
