I live in Ohio and have gone credit shopping over the past week and am happy to report some successful results. At time of application, scores were EQ - 693, TU - 676, EXP - 661. Citi Platinum (EQ) - $4,000 Fleet Titanium (TU) - $2,000 GM Card (EQ) - $1,000 State Farm Bank (TU) - $2,500 Eloan - Auto (TU) - $37,000 National City (TU) - $2,000 MBNA (TU) - $5,000 Amex Blue (EQ) - still processing Advanta (EQ & TU) - denied # inquiries Bank One/First USA (TU) - still processing US Bank (EQ) - denied # inquiries Discover (TU) - denied # inquiries Chase (TU) - still processing So, in the past week, I have accumulated almost $54,000 worth of credit. Holy cow! I am working on the denied cards as I have recently moved. Apparently this has created an issue with automated approval systems. It's thanks to this board in helping to learn how to clear up past issues that has made this happen. Thank you! Unruly.
Conrats on all your success! Did you apply for everything on the same day? Or space them out? I was planning on doing the same thing, and couldnt decide whether to do everything at once or maybe take a two week break or something
Please update us again on your scores once these all start reporting. Would be very interesting to see the total effect of this.
Couple questions...(congrats btw) Did the creditors who approved you only pull tu? (I'm still trying to figure out why mbna pulled an exp on my dh after he was approved with his tu) The creditors who denied you for number of inq... have you looked to see how many you had (hards in the last six months) when ea of the ones that denied you pulled? I'm curious too if you did this all in one day.
To clarify, I of course meant, the ones you listed as pulling TU I am assuming onlyyyy pulled tu for you. What would you say is the average age of your current credit cards?
