I went to the court house friday...

to do research on cases involving a CA and also against. the 3 CRA's.

I could find no cases in which this CA was a defendant but several in which they were the plaintif.

My question is if they were a defendant and setteled out of court would it show up in the computer database?

Also none against the 3 CRA's.

I am trying to assess my chances in court against each of the above, trying to get ideas and information in general so I am as prepared as possible.

Any thoughts on how to interpret the above bit of information? Will I be a pioneer in therse issues in my state? will I have to do alot of explaining to the Judges about the FDCPA FCRA ect?

    Thanks.

thats correct if there is a settlement before you go to court, you would dismiss the case. Therefore it was like it never happened.

Are you certain? I filed a case 2 years ago but settled out of court and the record was there of my filing.

I think even if it is settled or dismissed, once it is filed, it is there for the long haul.
