The (301) number that everyone is calling to check on approvals is a Citibank building in western Maryland. I know exactly where it is located, and I will be driving right past it tommorrow on my way from New York to Maryland (to visit with my little lovebug - my 9 year old daughter). And for the love of man, I am going to personally stop in and check to see if my application for the AAdvantage card was approved. If denied - I will plead my case! Maybe when Citibank sees that I am a *flesh & blood* human being, instead of just an application, they will approve me! Will keep you posted on my journey! chet
RE: I will personally visit *C WHEN YOU ARE THERE PLEASE ASK WHY I WAS NOT APPROVED ALSO. No lates no over limit no BK no charge offs oldest account 22 years old $70,000+ income (PLATINUM SELECT M/C 2.90% FOR 9 MONTHS)
Too vague! I'd love to GEORGE! But they might bounce me out of the building if I ask them "Hey, why wasn't GEORGE approved?" chet >B)
RE: Too vague! SORRY JUST A JOKE...I JUST WILL GIVE SOME OTHER CREDIT CARD COMPANY MY BUSINESS!!! I JUST LIKED THE 2.90% FOR 9 MONTHS. IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I WAS DENIED CREDIT! I WAS SHOCKED, BUT I'M GLAD OTHERS WERE DENIED, BUT WITH NOT SO GOOD CREDIT.
RE: I will personally visit *C Let me know if it works, I only live a half an hour from their. Bart P.S. My wife used to work for Chevy Chase Bank now First USA and they have pretty tight security and my bet is you wont make it past their desk. But maybe Citi is different.
RE: I will personally visit *C Maybe security has been increased now, but in the early 1980's I got to talk to a supervisor at his desk one on one (HOUSEHOLD BANK).
RE: I will personally visit *C My guess is you won't get to see anybody. "Company policy", you know ) But if you look at it from a different angle, it makes a bit more sense... if they allow this for one person, they'll have to allow it for everybody who wants it... This is a security threat also, imagine yourself denying credit to a psycho who knows who you are... not funny if you ask me Anyway... I'm looking forward to hearing your saga...
Like X.com KEWL!!! I frickin love it! It's like X.com. They are about 20 miles down the road in a small office building - in Palo Alto. Wonder how many more months they have to pay rent?
RE: Like X.com Dogman, As a *FORMER* x.com account holder, I'd be interested. Let us all know when that "SPACE AVAILABLE" sign gets posted in front of their offices... Cheers and Prosperity, Cindy
RE: Like X.com you shoul open an account with compubank, cindy. they have been great for the past 5 months for me.
RE: Like X.com Actually, I had x.com as a secondary account (I mainly used it for budgeting purposes, by only transferring a certain amount of money each pay-period to them). My primary account is with SFNB, and they are great (other than the fact that I couldn't get one of their credit cards...but, as I mentioned before, that is MY problem, not theirs!). If I didn't have an account with them, though, I would probably go with Compubank, as I have heard good things about them. Happy Friday, Cindy
RE: Like X.com it will be-going to tavern at phipps for happy hour! will be using my pocketcard-not credit card! lol
RE: Like X.com Very cool! I'm going to go stretch the limits of my subprimes (LOL!) at the Stone Mountain Highland Games tomorrow. Cheers, Slainte, and all that, Cindy
