Hey all, Thought I'd put out the notice that ID Guard is a very poor company to choose to insure yourself with. About 15 minutes ago I discovered my identity was stolen, and immediately called ID Guard. They essentially gave me the run around and transferred me roughly 10 times. Also beware! They handle nothing in office!! So if anything will get done on your account it has to be through a SEPARATE agency for insurance, or a SEPARATE agency for "fixing" your score. Oh by the way, they don't cover anything like someone stealing your credit card or debit and racking up some nice purchases. That's not identity theft, that's "credit fraud" which is not covered of course. I hope I saved someone from wasting 17 dollars a month. I'd just stay away from the whole ID protection business if I were you. Good luck!
Credit card fraud is the most common form of ID theft, according to the FTC, so I find it interesting that they would actually tell you it's not identity theft. Call your credit card company to report the fraud, and you shouldn't be held liable for any of the unauthorized purchases.
