Just got to thinking... On one CR, I got a + for being at 32% util. and on another, I got a - for the same 32% util. Any one figured out yet what % util. is the best overall for your credit scores?

5%-20% (ALL CARDS ADDED TOGETHER)----DEBT TO CREDIT LIMIT RATIO

BUT 0% IS WRONG FOR SOME REASON

I was wondering what was up with that. I was playing around on myfico.com with the simulator and the scores got better the lower your overall balances were, but when I got to 0%, I noticed the fico scores went back down.

I guess if you have no debt, you're more of a risk!

    POOR CREDIT CAUSES ACCIDENTS...CLAIMS...AND TICKETS

EVEN IF YOU HAVE NO ACCIDENTS...CLAIMS...AND TICKETS

I certainly agree with George but a twist on this is that the shape, potential increase, and "sweet spot" of your simulated FICO score versus % Utilization curve can vary depending on how your CRA files differ and from person to person.

I have an illustration of this here: http://www.creditboards.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3207
