An identity thief got a hold of my name SSN # and all that stuff., and tried, unsuccessfully to open several lines of credit in my name over the internet. Since i have a Fraud alert on my Credit report they were not successful in getting credit. but how do i get those inquiries removed, there are like 15 of them..
That's an interesting question. I have herd that disputing inquiries generally does not work but with a case of identity theft who knows. Have you filed a police report? If you have you could include a copy of the report with a dispute letter to the credit bureaus. I hope this helps. Good luck Erik.
