Anyone know how it would be reported on cr if you don't activate a card??

All zeros. I have a Citibank card that I never activated that showed up only on my TU report. I am currently disputing it now.

I think you are right in disputing. In my opinion it shouldn't show up at all. I'm in a trap. In one of my weaker moments (Roni knows about this) I accepted an offer from Cap One over the phone. The problem is, I won't know what the limit is until I activate the card. (Gold MasterCard, 0% until June 02, 14.9 after. No fees.

I received a card in the mail a month or so ago from First Premier which I never even applied for. WHen I got it in the mail I must admit I was kind like oh well I could always use it if I really needed it, even if I didnt apply for it. But then I looked and see they charge you $175 just to use the card! I called them, they closed the account and said someone must have applied onlin eusing my info. But they wouldnt delete the entry, which sucks, it made by FICO score go down like 15 points for having a new account. I am disputing it directly with them, with credit bureus, better business bureau, and possibly with an attorned if they dont get it off. I also posted on PlanetFeedback about this, I was very surprised after doing a search on them there, that this is actually a very commom occurrence with First Premier Bank.

It is tricks like this that have made me decide never to accept another Capital One offer again. I hope they are reading these posts.

See that's why I will never carry a captial one card. I have never had any other card issuer approve you yet not disclose the credit limit PRIOR to activation, and not reporting limits also crosses them off my list.

Not to mention the make you go through this service and that service prior to acitivating the card on the phone.

I guess I am a glutton for punishment. CapOne coincidentally just called me to apply for their CapOne Platinum card with 14.9% and a $39.00 annual fee. I don't like the annual fee, but you can usually get it waived. I was told the credit limit will be between $500 and $7500, and I should get a response in 15 days or less. I thought CapOne Platinums have at least a $5000.00 limit. Hmm, same game as they play with the $200.00 Gold cards? I WILL know the limit BEFORE I activate it. If they try that crap, I will send a PFB letter to Mr. Cooke to tell me the limit, or it gets thrown in the trash. If they pull EFX, I am sure I will get the $500. LOL!

Breeze - you were right. They "gotme". $400 limit on this thing. I thought they dropped a zero! I've got to get rid of this thing. No wonder they can offer 0% interest until June 02, you're limited with a cl of $400. Why did I fall for this! Now I've got another inquiry on my cr, and a new account, all for $400! There are no fees though, and a 25 day grace period. I think I'll buy a cup of coffee once a month with it and pay it. At least that way it'll be costing them money to maintain a no profit account!!
