    Star:
If you are trying repair your credit by trying to tell the credit bureaus that the truth is a lie and a lie is the truth, then obviously it stands an excellent chance of coming back when the truth is once again revealed. Then you can either invent a new lie or try telling the same old lie over and over again.

And that's exactly why the government keeps telling people that credit repair companies are nothing but rip-off artists and scam artists because that's what the great majority of them do.
It's also most likely the reason they passed the law saying that credit repair companies can't charge their customers until after the work they agreed to do has been completed. The government can't keep two consenting parties from entering into a contract to do whatever they want to do. That right is guaranteed by the constitution. But making the contractor deliver what he promises to do before being paid is not unconstitutional.

The government probably made that law because that would give the consumer time enough discover the problem if some of those supposedly "repaired" reports do come back later. I don't know how many supposedly "repaired" reports do come back, but judging from the posts here on creditnet, I'd guess that at least a few of them do come back no matter if the repair job was done by a company or by the consumer working on his own problems without any help.

Might be interesting if one really knew for sure how many do come back later, but I don't suppose we will ever really know that.

anything you request an investigation from the credit reporting agencies on which is deleted can be reinserted into your file IF the creditor certifies the information AND you are notified within 5 days of being returned....

Otherwise, credit reporting agencies are required to take measures, some call cloaking, to prevent the account from accidently showing back up in your credit report.... Errors do happen, but should be corrected quickly if they arise........

Whew! What a relief! I saw that subject line and had to rush in here to make sure we were still talking about credit.

BTW, I haven't had any problem with that, but I've heard tell of other people having that problem.

Uh... we are still talking about credit, right?

    Not sure about that.
Appears that the discussion may have turned to missiles and the rear ends of camels.

    LOL

Has anyone had anything deleted after a bankruptcy and it has come back? One of my FUSA accts on my TU was deleted, (I didn't ask! It just happened!)

Do creditors keep updating even after a bk?

Notice how I just left that one alone. No sir, not me. No wise cracks about how how lonely it must get out there in the desert. Nope. Not a one.

I'm so proud of myself. I don't know if I can resist that sort of temptation twice though.
