If you have CreditExpert and a Mac

If you use a Macintosh and subscribe (or wish to subscribe) to CreditExpert, you may have trouble accessing your credit file. In that case, this link will be the solution:

    https://www.creditexpert.com/creditexpert/creditmanager/016_1_cr_report.jsp

Now, depending upon your system software version and which browser you're using, you may not have any trouble at all. But... if you do... here's how to use the link above:

    1) Log onto CreditExpert.
    2) Click on "view my report" ... if nothing happens, then...
    3) Click the link above (obviously you'll have this page in a different window).
    4) BOOKMARK THE RESULTANT PAGE so that you won't have to keep coming back to this post, lol.

That's it. I had trouble accessing my report repeatedly because they use some screwy version of Java that isn't totally compatible with this screwy Macintosh, lol. So, I copied the resultant URL using a PC, emailed it to myself, and then tried that link on my Mac, and from that point on I could view my report without a problem.

Interestingly, when I telephoned CreditExpert customer service, the guy only said, "Yeah, we don't guarantee the site will work with Macs because there have been so many who've had problems." When I suggested the solution (substitute a hard link instead of the Java-link), he basically responded, "Oh, that's nice." Too bad he won't pass that on to their IT department who might be interested in the compatibility glitch.

Anyway, hope this helps some lonely Mac user out there. :)

I was fixin' to feel jealous when I read the title, thinking that you had another second doc's trick, and that it would only work with a MacIntosh. Since I only have access to PC, I was already feeling really bummed, and trying to think who I knew that had a Mac.

Aren't you a nice guy to help all the Mac Users. I love CreditWatch and the access to the FICO scoring.
