I gave CSC 3 days to put my file back together again after 5 months of no access. I sent a letter to their Pres with a lawsuit attached to the letter. I was 100% ready to move forward. I was livid! At the beginning of Aug, I called CSC. A miracle! My file was back together! I immediately went to CW & pulled the first report in 5 months! I was elated! Today after reading a "bumpage" post, I went back to CW and pulled the last report from March--45 good accounts reporting, 6 negs. I looked at today's report--35 good accounts reporting, 6 negs. THOSE SOB'S DELETED 10 GOOD ACCOUNTS IN ORDER TO MAKE ROOM FOR ALL OF THEIR 130 INQUIRIES!!!!!!!!!! I went through my report and identified all of them! The oldest account they deleted was from 1997. The latest one 2000. Does this make sense to anyone? I am furious! Lisa
Re: If your CW file was split, bewa Actually, Lisa, what makes sense to me is this: It's very likely that your report was not put back together and that the ten good files are on the second "secret" report. My file was split as well. They removed the "do not combine" statement, which allowed me to pull CreditWatch reports again, but an employee at Equifax told me last week that I still had two reports -- the second report just has a bunch of soft inquiries on it now. My guess is that this is what has happened to you. Doc
Re: If your CW file was split, bewa And it may be happening to me. I got a could not verify identity error message last (error code = 45D). When I called today, I was told my file was too big to pull online, even though the # of inq's has not increased and I've been able to pull it for 5 months. They told me they were probably going to delete some inquiries for me to get it down in size so i could pull it again. But they did say that if they couldn't delete the inq's, they would "separate my file". I told them they had better not even consider that idea. I went on to tell them I have an appt today with a mortgage broker and need access to my report. I was told, they can pull it, I'm the only one that can't. Isn't that just great?
Re: If your CW file was split, bewa LKH, don't believe that for a second! They told me the same thing--just because I could not pull my split file via CW, it did not mean that their process was flawed. A creditor would get the full file, my split file was a separate issue and unrelated. Well, guess what? When my mortgage broker attempted to pull my file, they got part 2 of 2 only and a statement that the report was "unscorable." Doc, so in essence, they are protecting these soft inquiries to the detriment of our positive accounts? Now what? I am working on my letter now to CSC, but I am a little unsure what my violations are.
