Hi ALL!!!! It's been a while since I've been on here. I got my credit straightened out enough to get a house. Then I got sick (High Blood Pressure, Heart Arrrythmia, and a few other problems) and when I injured my shoulder, I got fired from my job. I filed Ch. 13 in Aug. of 05, but haven't paid on it since Jan. of 06 when I lost my job. I would assume it's been dismissed, but I haven't contacted anyone. Regardless, I'm gonna have to file Ch. 7. However, I have a couple of questions.................. Can I include any new debts in my Ch. 7 filing that weren't in my Ch. 13 filing, if the Ch. 13 has been dismissed? If not, who's SOL will apply, the state I was living in when I signed the papers (TN), or the state I reside in now(VA -which will also be the state I file Ch. 7 in)? BTW....back when I visited regularly and I was fixing my credit, I was also helping my mom and step-dad with theirs. My stepdad put me on the phone with a bill collecter (told them I was his wife) and they hung up on me ...ha ha ha ha ha. I was so bold that I called back and the collector actually told me that he "wasn't allowed to argue" with me over this account. (They had kept adding interest and I kept telling him that I wanted EVERY penny accounted for.) Needless to say, they settled for like 25% and deletion. If it wasn't for this board, I probably would have never had the confidence to argue like that. It is amazing how much confidence you have once you know your rights. To all the Newbies who are wondering: THIS METHOD DOES WORK!!!! In Dec. of 2003, I couldn't get a loan for $1000..........by Dec. of 2004, after using this method and constantly working at it, I had an auto loan for $15,000, a mortgage for $120,000, a signature loan for $3,000, an unsecured cc with a $2700 CL, a furniture account for $3000, and a few other things I can't remember right now. It does take time, and a lot of work, but it's well worth it. Hope everyone else is doing well and I'll be here planning my strategy and getting advice before I do anything. Amy
