I was recently denied a $5000 car loan on a $8600 car and it is due in part to tonnes of bogus information on my credit reports. I think that I can sue for damages, right? I'm ready to roll, but I need help from someone who has been there.

    I'd appreciate any advice!

hmmmm....damages probably not. You need to look at your report(s) and determine what is on there before you can sue anyone for anything. Requesting verification with the CRA's that contain this "tonneage of bogus info" is probably a better start than suing anyone for damages after an auto loan rejection.

I see you have been here for a while so I will assume that you have built some sort of trail documenting the CRA or CA or OC violating the FCRA and/or FDCPA so that you have someone in mind for a suit and some kind of evidence that you have exhausted your attempts to get them to complete their responsibilities in correcting the matter(s) and now you are looking for advice to prepare your court battle. (whew thats a heck of a runon sentence)

Then I would suggest you read this part of the FAQ.

    Good Luck
