It's been preached over and over again on here by many: Never send a CRA any of your BK papers. If yo do it validates the BK - Now how do you ever get it off your reports? Hi and thanks for responding CAwatchdog & want800 I'm trying to get some stuff off that was included on the BK, but isn't noted as such on my CR. I'm concerned that if I validate the BK with EXP, then they'll ignore the "not" mine - even though the TL is wrong. Also, the BK is listed on all three CRAs, but one of them has my attorney listed as the plaintiff. Obviously, I want off as much as I can - but I certainly don't want to share with the CRA what creditors we listed. Then to tell me I NEED to speak with a counselor --- I've never heard of such a thing. When I tried to dispute my address, she started going down the entire list - i think that somehow she's now under the impression that my credit file MIGHT be mixed with someone else - hence the counselor comment. I just wanted my old addresses off so that I could start disputing. Any suggestions?
That was my worry. Why in heavens does she need to see them? I hope this doesn't flag my file or anything - I was on a cell phone and lost signal, never able to complete our conversation. Have you ever heard of needing to speak to a counselor of theirs?
It is not up to you to do the CRA's job !! Listen to the good advice of lbrown59! Never, never send the CRA copies of anyting other than basic ID info: (SS Card, Driver's License, Birth Certificate, etc)
Re: Re: I'm really leary about this. EXP I will I promise! And thank you pd11604 & lbrown for watching my back.. Shanyl
