Citibank has actually treated me OK. About 1 1/2 yrs ago they charged off my account due to being 60 days behind?? I was angry! Then they sicced a CA on me. Most likely internal and got 1200/mo out of me for two months until I refused to pay that anymore. I started making regular reasonable payments without arrangements being made. Then about 2 months ago I actually called them and made approved payment arrangements.

The good part in all of this is when I started my credit repair journey I pulled my reports and they never reported the account as a CO. It was just listed as closed.

I recently pulled my reports again and lo and behold they are now listing my account as open and paying as agreed! I guess you never know.

"Nice. Only if I CCCS will they drop it to 9% again and lower the payments back to what they were. Right now they want $200 a month, I was paying $40 a month. I am shocked they behaved this way. I always saw Citibank as a classy and customer-friendly bank."

HA! Citibank is the worst cc company my husband and I have ever had to deal with in the approx. 11 years we've had credit. They charged off my husband's account at 90 days late (just when we had the money and were ready to catch it up) and sent it to a CA, and regardless of the fact that we've paid them over $3K in a year, they are now suing my husband and threatening garnishment. You can see my thread at

We also thought they were "reputable." Fact is they got my husband into the card offering a 9.0% interest rate. He was 2 days late ONE TIME and they jacked it up to 19.5%. Now this lawsuit. I have been late on a one of my cc's a few times in 9 years and never had this kind of trouble. Citibank is highly predatory and unreasonable.

Don't expect anything good out of Citibank, imho.
