In reading back thru some of the historical posts for this board, I've read about several instances where people from the CAs and even CRAs were lurking here in search of information to use against consumers. In the incident involving "Lizardking", many of his posts from this and other credit boards appeared on other websites and were entered in court. Also a few years back someone received a letter from Transunion which closed by warning them to cease discussing TU on the board. Be mindful about the information you post...if you can avoid it, refrain from posting exact debt amounts, names of CAs or your name and identifying info. Of course this is true of the internet in general!
Excellent advice, in this age of technology where web crawlers can find anything, it's a good idea to stay as "generic" as possible with information. Let's face it, as the repair techniques become more sophisticated, and the tools more widely used, CRAs and OCs will counter with more defensive tactics. I think it is getting harder to do repair work now, than how it was a few years ago. Notice the drop in postings on these forum boards; the "experts" are involved less and less. So, keep in mind that you want no surprises if you happen to be in front of a judge. The last thing you would want is a posting showing your "intent" to remove "correct" information, or other embarrassing information.
