I'm on the phone right now with Providian. The lady is telling me that I applied for the Premiere card which has a $5k limit. The application that I filled out says; When you apply, you will be considered for the following FOUR types of accounts. This lady is telling me that their records are showing I ONLY applied for the $5k card. I'm on hold now. Anyone else out there who got denied might want to call up and find out if that's why you were denied. I'll post the outcome of the call once they come back on...
Well, after getting the runaround and making four different phone calls, I was given a number to call for "reconsideration." They could give me no further information and actually seemed rather disinterested. I just called the number and they are only there M-F 8-5 central time. I'll call Monday and see what the deal is.
No, but i just called there and they gave me another number to call which I did and finally a supervisor came on the phone and said to wait for the letter in the mail. Ridiculous.
