Important PLEASE HELP ME!!! I have recently reviewed my credit report and I did not find 2 finance companies on my report and I have been delinquent with them but I am ready to take responsibility for them and I want to request something like payment arrangements or something so i can put the account as good on my credit report. Re: Important PLEASE HELP ME!!! You're doing the right thing to pay your obligations. Since they're not reporting yet, it's to your advantage. I suggest negotiating a dollar amount less than you can actually afford to pay. Then overpay as much as you can every month until the matter's cleared. Placing these items on your credit reports before you're in good standing with them, will generate negative tradelines. If you still want to go ahead, get it in writing before you make your first payment.

Be very leary of what you tell the creditor though, if you mention I want to pay you so this will be reported positive or something could cause them to go ahead and start reporting now (as negative). You might even call them anonymously and ask tell them you were considering doing business with them and what CRA do they report to? If they don't report or only report to one, you might be spinning your wheels to get them to report you positively. I'm not saying don't pay, just be leary of what information you give them and get information from them first.

Re: Important PLEASE HELP ME!!! Well.....its a well known fact that finance companies hurt your fico. Can you give a little info. Who is your finance co? How much do you owe? How much are you behind? The more info you give the better. If they are not reporting, I would say pay them so they don't report. A lot of finance companies don't report, or they report when you're past due. Just make sure they don't report the tradeline, any suggestions?

Re: Important PLEASE HELP ME!!! How far behind are you? If you aren't too far behind, sometimes they will let you pay the interest on the amount you are delinquent, and then add those payments on to the end of the loan, and just start making your payments again.
