If a listing is marked "in dispute", does that affect the overall credit score?

I think GEORGE is right when he deciced it was a Random Number Generator.

However, FWIW, my CE score jumped a WHOPPING 4 points, when 1 tradeline went into dispute.

Seems to give some creedence to the idea of putting everything in dispute if you want to pump up your score temporarily to qualify for something.

I just recently disputed a late payment history with with Exp through CE and my score went up 11pts and nothing else has changed in my file. I do know that items in dispute with Equifax will temporarily increase your score.
