How can one tell if the CA tells the CRA that you are disputing their tradeline, or if the CRA is reporting it "in Dispute". I have asked for validation by the CA, and then sent an "in Dispute" letter to the CRA, and their tradeline has been updated with "In Dispute".

Also, what may be the timeline that a CA cannot validate when the tradeline is "in dispute"? I asked for validation from a CA, disputed with the CRA, the CA sent validation and now their tradelne lists "In Dispute". Do we have a violation?

    Only
If they don't validate they are attempting to collect an unvalidated debt.
