Last year I requested a statement of 100 words or less to be posted in my credit report to clarify why I had been late (my only derog) on one of my cc accounts. I wasn't sure if the cc place would remove the derog at my request so I thought I had better state my case in my credit report for reference with any future inquires into my credit history. I wrote the cc place directly requesting them to remove the derog. I received word this month that they (cc) did have the derog removed from my report..... so now I don't need that statement in my report. My question is..... can I request the statement to be removed? or is it fixed forever in my history? I just checked my credit report and the derog is definitely gone and my fisco score shot up 36 points. I'm now in the 700 club. )
Let me get this straight: The account is gone, but the statement is still there? If that be the case, I would definitely inform the CRA of their logic behind this...
I had to get a statement removed - I just said I did not want any personal statement included with my file, please remove it. A lot of the time, personal statements really verify the information.

Thanks for responding.... I will contact the CRA.
