I recently sent a validation letter to a collection attorney. I sent one within the 30 days after they first contacted me (by phone, nothing by mail at that point from them) but I failed to send it CMRRR. They contacted me again by phone on the 25th. I again mailed a validation letter, this time CMRRR that same day. My question is, since this second letter wasn't mailed within the 30 days of first contact, does the CA still only have 30 days to respond with validation? Technically, I did send a letter within the 30 days, but have no way to prove it other than a copy of the letter.

Contact the Texas AG and ask them.
