Included in Bankruptcy

I have several items included in bankruptcy that I'm working on. They seem impossible to get off. I only had one removed by Wells Fargo, which was listed under First Security. Every other creditor verifies to the credit bureaus and sends validations to me.

Any suggestions on working with items included in bankruptcy? Should I just stick with the credit bueaus? What is a sufficient validation? I have several of my creditors who are sending me letters stating that it will be updated as included in bankruptcy. Any help would be good.

I work for a credit repair company called Archer Credit Professionals. We are a small company that does disputes to the credit bureaus and validation letters to client's creditors. We contact the creditors for our client's and negotiate payment for removal, so the client doesn't have to. This board is the best source of new information on credit repair. So I come here for insiteful ways to get items removed.

I didn't know that. I was just asking because I didn't know why you weren't using them.

If they advertise getting BK info off, why do you need to know how?

Not a personal attack, just wanting to know since there isn't an "about us" page at the website.

The only way I know how to get a BK off is through the credit bureaus, but if it keeps getting verified, I don't know what to do. You can dispute the items inlcuded in bk. I was just wondering if there was any other tactic available that has been used to work on items included in bankruptcy. Some of the creditors that verified, just said that it was included in the bk, that's it. Is there a way I could follow up with them and ask for more verification, or do I just have to go through the credit bureaus.

I've never really worried about them because someone told me that the bk itself is what lowers the score and the items included in BK are not calculated. I know all of mine say "unrated." Something was accidentally removed once for me and my score didn't change.

Should I be concerned that they are there? I was just trying to get the stuff that said charged off to be included in the BK.

Credit repair companies can't guarantee that a negative listing will be removed. We've all seen that stated time and time again. There is no sure fire method. Lexington and many other companies state that a public records can be removed, but they can't guranteee it. Archer, just like Lexington, goes after bks the same way, through the bueaus. What I'm wondering is there another way?

I just had 2 small collection accounts deleted from EX that were "included in BK" and score went up 31 points. Both were for $50.

I took the position that by removing the "included in bk" accounts, I would have a better chance of removing the bk in the future. i.e. less traces of it.

As far as the score goes, I KNOW that the shear numbers of accounts reporting as "included in BK" lower your score. I don't care that they are unrated. They still drag down your score. I have disputed / deleted lots of these from both mine and my husbands reports over the last year. Just to give you an example--when we started this journey, we were 6 months into a CH13. On Equifax alone, my husband's score was in the 440's. Now, after numerous disputes, he has 2 negatives still remaining on Equifax and 1 public record with the CH13 reporting. His score is now 685 (and it was 695 2 weeks ago). So, you can't tell me that deleting those "included in" accounts don't help your score. They do.

The bigger question is will the score alone get you a loan? I don't know the answer to that. Maybe the mere fact that the BK is reporting will kill an application no matter what the score is. Anyone have any words of wisdom on this?

I'm really wondering about this as well. You say you work for a credit repair firm that, presumably charges money to repair peoples credit, yet you seem to know very little about the whole process.

There is a lot of good info here if you use the search button that will probably help you.

This is what the web site for archer advertises, but I sure find it worriesome that their "professionals" are coming here for help.

I can't speak for my whole company, but I'm not perfect. I don't know everything about credit repair. I still have items that are negative on my report, because of things in the past. No credit repair firm can guarantee items can be removed and items won't be removed 100% of the time. I've seen bankruptcies, late payments, judgments, and so on be removed countless times, but not all the time.

I did not need help, but I am open to suggestions. I'm not asking you how to dispute to the credit bureaus or if a bankruptcies are bad. I'm not unaware of how to remove items, but I'm always eager to find new ways and examples of removals. I'm looking to improve my credit report. I'm looking for new ways that I don't know about to remove an item that is included in bankruptcy. If that means I don't know anything about credit repair, then I guess I don't know anything about credit repair. But I must know as much as you, because I haven't heard one suggestion.

You should know as much as them, you are the one advertising, not them.

Your killing the credability of your company asking questions like that here on creditnet. If I were you I would just remove it from the sig block. Then ask away as a layman.
