    List,

Within the last week I called Bank of America about the Platinum Card I had with them. I told them that the $10,400 limit I had on their card was nice, but there was not much that I could do with such a small limit. I said that I currently have an MBNA card with a $44,500 limit, and would much rather use my new B of A card, versus the MBNA card, mostly due to the BT offer I had received, and later for regular purchases.

I have had their card for about six months at this call, and they told me that they normally did not do anything before 9 months, but if I would let them run a credit check, that they could review my history and let me know.

I let them run the check, and within a few minutes they told me that I was approved for an increase up to $36,000.

They were quite nice and have been great to work with over the time I have had their card. I agree with others on this list about B of A being a great company to work with.

Just a heads up for others considering new cards for BT options.

BTW, my equifax score is around 730. They did ask for my income over the phone to use together with the credit report in considering my CLI.

I wonder what it's like to have those credit lines.... even a credit card!.... oh well... I do have my house to be thankful for.

Congrats anyway. Remember me at Xmas ;)

    edoggie,

Congratulations on the house, and as far as having a credit card, my history is not as grand as my present situation..

In 1997, my fico was 454, post BK... : (

But, over time it has gone up, like yours will, and we will all enjoy (excessive but...) pleasant credit lines!

I will think of you and all credit-netters this xmas!
