What is the fastest most painless way to increase FICO? Mine is a whopping 538, my fiance's is a whopping 620 (We need help). Planning on getting married when we can get to a decent FICO.
I am fairly new to this board but have read almost every post from beginning to end and most that deal with this subject have the same mantra......you didn't create bad credit overnight so don't expect to fix it overnight! I would suggest read, learn and read and learn some more....start working on your credit repair journey immediately.. If you don't know enough yet at least take step one and order all of your credit reports if you haven't already....then read, read, read......and finally TAKE ACTION Good Luck
Bad credit is not always the reason for low scores. In my case (there was some bad) however, I had low scores simply because I didn't have any credit. Only time with 1 or 2 low cl accounts will solve this.

If you know someone who is willing to make you an authorized user on their card, do it. (Just make sure this person has a solid history and that the card reports to all three bureaus) This is a great way to increase scores fast. Scrivener
