Thought some folks might be interested in this article about a lawyer who successfully fights debt collectors (though I thought it was unnecessarily sympathetic to the collection agencies): http://www.indystar.com/print/frontpage/wed/articles/debt28.html You might want to read it quickly because I'm not sure if this link is valid for more than a week.
Cool story. I checked into this guy a little further and found a howler. One client had his credit ruined by Equifax because they used his account as "training" for employees. At the end he had around 600 inquiries on his CR!!! Thanks ShyGuy and Bauhaus, great links! What a nightmare that poor guy went through. Just when you thought you've seen it all, something like this pops up.....unbelievable! With stuff like this happening consumers sure could use a few more attorney's like Shepard on their side. Again thanks for the great read. Tuit
