Well, as many people have done before, I want to start my post by thanking everyone for the wealth of advice on this website. I was able to get a judgment deleted off Equifax by deleting an old address which greatly helped my FICO. Tonight I disputed a bunch of lates on my report(30, 60 and even some 90 days), which left me with a 3 year old Cap 1 card with a $300 limit (no lates) and a 2 year old Chase card, $1000 limit. I also had an Old Navy account less than 24 months old. That gave me an inflated FICO of 703. (Considering I had a 453 FICO as of March 2001 when the judgment appeared, that's pretty good) I applied for the GM Card - denied. Something about my residency and the length of time accounts established too short. Applied for the Target Visa. Got the "further processing message" so that gave me alittle bit of hope, but not much. Gave it one final shot, but first I put that Old Navy account into dispute and applied for the Corvette Mastercard. APPROVED!!!!!!! I literally sat here shaking and screaming at the top of my lungs. I had been denied CL increases by Cap 1 and Chase and I felt it was hopeless to establish more credit. Corvette gave me a $3500 LIMIT!!! I AM SO STOKED YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE!!! My questions: 1) they didn't tell me my APR on the CV card, can I call them to ask? 2) I have seen many people get CL increases by asking right before they activate the card, should I try that when I receive this card in the mail? Thanks, JPARTDQ
