You know, looking at their web page, one can't help but wonder something. They have a link for reporting information to people's credit.. what's to stop someone from building a positive database and umm...er...err...

I agree, you should file complaints all over the place. They are keeping a low profile, don't want to be held accountable for what they report, don't want to disclose or deal with disputes. So someone with fraudulent information on their reports gets it all handled by the "big three" and it is still uncorrected on Innovis.

Have you guys called 60 minutes yet? Maybe it isn't juicy enough for them, try 20/20.

We should ALL go to the FTC website on one day and file an online complaint. I would assume seeing as Greg got an email confirmation from Jonathan Price that it would be enough ammo for the FTC to "investigate".

The following is from their website and it sounds pretty clear as to what they do.

"A national database of consumers with unfavorable current or past credit histories. You can cleanse your pre-approved mailing lists before offers are printed and mailed - significantly reducing your mail program costs, back-end credit bureau polls and potential risk. FailSafe is an FCRA compliant database comprised of public record and accounts receivable data collected from thousands of credit grantors nationally. On average 3-4% of all names surviving credit prescreening are actually delinquent, but not eliminated during the credit bureau prescreen process due to file fragmentation, mismatched records or records lost within the credit bureau master file. One last screening against FailSafe will safely eliminate the undesirable names prior to your mail date."

Compair this with 70% that aren't delinquent but are listed as such.

    Thats the problem!

If it's a "FCRA compliant database", then they need to disclose our information to us and allow us to dispute incorrect info, as stated in the FCRA

Don't forget, you to can file a complaint.

Looks like their records R a collection of the old information before it is or was corrected.
They mean a collection of old incorrect Neg. Info.

    What does back-end mean here?

But they obviously are not just serving the direct mail narketing industry, they are providing credit reports to potential creditors. Another whole ballgame.

What's needed is some accountability of banks using sleazy CRAs.
