I'm still trying to catch on to everything.
As I've been reading I keep coming across folks mentioning Innovis. I've seen that people have been having a hard time with them. Has anyone made any progress on figuring out how to get a report from them ?
If I've read things correctly, e-mailing does not work. Does sending snail mail work ? If so, how should my letter read & what info do I send ? Do they charge for a report ? What's the address ?
So, that's 4 places to check credit reports. Am I missing any others ?
    Thanks
    Cathy

    Cathy,

I don't believe any of us have obtained a credit report from Innovis. Many of us have tried e-mail, snail mail, and telephone and we keep being fed the same line "our system isn't set up yet".

Hopefully, by complaining to our government officials we will get some results, but it may take years.

Right now the only reports that can be obtained are the "Big 3". Some of think Innovis is collecting the information we dispute to obtain for future reference. Many of our creditors could be checking these same reports and retreiving this same information, but since they refuse to send us our reports there is no proof that this is true.

    Hope this helps.

There were ROOMERS that INNOVIS was going to be a SUPER SECRET "DEPOSITORY" for ALL INFORMATION EVER REMOVED FROM THE BIG 3 CREDIT REPORTS (REGARDLESS OF ACCURACY)...

I did get a report from them. But it is only because I live in Colorado and they added something negative to my report. Colorado is good with the credit laws. One day I got a letter saying that something negative was added in the last 12 months and if I wanted a report I would have to write or call. I called and they gave me the same line thay their system wasn't up yet. I told her about the letter and she asked if I lived in Colorado. I told her her yes and they sent it to me.

It only had negative on it! I think people could be right when they say they are gathering all of our negative info, wether it was removed from the Big 3 or not.

Is this what the opt-out is related to, CRA's providing info to their affiliates, building a database?

I always thought that Opt-Out was for credit card offers.

Anyway, everyone should complain to the FTC about Innovis!
