I just ordered my Innovis report. They said I'd get it in 7days via snail mail. Last year they wouldn't give me a report...at least now you can apparently get one.

    My question...

Has anyone who has actually received an Innovis report disputed any of the items on it? If so, how did it all turn out for you? What does the report look like? Do they 'code' things like the other bureaus do and is there a 'score'?

    Mist,

How did you order it? Phone, e-mail, etc? Did they give you a hard time?

I got mine last year only because I live in Colorado. I disputed all of it because it all was negative. One item fell off. I don't know about codes but it was pretty detailed. They give you a form to fill out if you want to dispute anything, which I would think you would since they only seem to keep negative information. I need to order it again to see what junk they put on there now. Please give the phone # you called to get it.

    (800) 540-2505 is the number I called. It came from the following thread.

    http://consumers.creditnet.com/stra...s=&postid=153882&highlight=innovis#post153882

I talked to the lady and she said that it is law in CO that people get a copy of their innovis report and that they be notified when a negative item appears on the report. Also, she said that it is a law from last year that made it where Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae have to report to them. She didn't know why. So, 7-10 days and I will know if my husband has a report or not. Also, I made sure that since I was inquiring, that it wasn't creating a report. She said no. paranoia setting in for sure!!!

I just called 1(800)540-2505 and asked to have my Innovis report sent to me. Phone was answered by a person (no voicemail machine which was a wierd experience :) The rep who answered asked me why I wanted my report. I answered that I was entitled to see the information as I am with any consumer reporting agency like TU, Equifax and Experian. She was very polite, took my SS#, name, and address info and said it would be in my mailbox in 7-10 days.

Not sure why she asked me the question "Why?", that seemed more odd than getting a "live person" off the bat, but the outcome was my report sent to me with no real problems. I will tell you what it contains when I receive it.

Now, wait a minute. I just called them and the lady told me they haven't begun assembling reports on individual consumers yet so they don't have a file on me.

She also told me that Innovis is not providing credit data of individual consumers to creditors yet.

Thats the same response they gave me by mail, when I mailed them a request for my report.

When I filed complaints with BBB and AG I got a response that they did not have a file on me.

I hope I get that response in writing! What could be better than "no file on record".

If you get information otherwise in the future, you would have a great case against them. Deception/fraud by selling information they told you they did not have and not allowing you any recourse to correct possible errors.

Man I dream of seeing words like "no file on record" Hehehehe.

It's all filed away for future reference :)

I had it in for these guys not too long ago, but the BBB and AG didn't do crap, except get them to respond to me.

So like you said, I have it in writing from them that they don't have a file on me. I better never get denied anything based on an Innovis file!!!

I just called too and got the same song and dance about how they are still compling their database, blah blah blah. She also told me that they are not releasing information to companies yet either.

Has anyone else outside Colorado been successful in getting their report?

She tried to give me that crap and then I let her know that I knew of people getting reports in CO. So she took my information and said that if I have a report, i will receive it and if I don't, then I will get a letter saying that I don't have one.

I guess that you just have to be persistent because I wouldn't let her get off the phone until she said I was getting something in the mail. :)

The reason I was keen to see my file is that someone else posted in another Innovis thread that they were affiliated with a company that wrecked me with inquiries at the time I obtained my mortgage over 3 yrs ago. I think it was CBC or something like that. I remember asking EX about these as they were ALL pulled on the exact same dates that my mortgage company pulled my reports. It took us 9 months to nail down our deal for this house (long story but it was complicated-nothing to do with financing) but as a result our credit was reevaluated many times during those 9 months. Each time it was, lo and behold, there would be 2 inq for a total I believe of 10 during that period. EX thought it was two divisions of the mortgage co and I let it go. I think my interest rates about that time were jacked by FUSA but I was an eedjit back then and let it go - kinda like "oh well, that's the way it goes." Now, to find out that it was "really" Innovis ticks me off to no end. It will be interesting to see what Innovis has because 3 yrs ago there were 20some accounts belonging to that "other" person who shares my name and because of which I became a creditnetter.

if a creditor pulls their repor you could still get denied credit for not having a file for lack of credit history.
