Instead , Asset Acceptance provided me a computer generated paper for some other account which is clearly NOT MINE. I DID ask for proof that I am, indeed, the party youâ??re asking to pay this alleged debt, and that there is SOME type of contractual obligation binding me to do so. You failed to provide either one. Therefore, you are in violation of Federal law by reporting this account to the Credit Reporting Agencies , since you cannot verify, much less validate, this alleged debt. I will allow you 3 days from the time that you receive this letter to REMOVE your entire trade line(s) off any and all credit reports, including, but not limited to, Experian, Transunion, Equifax and Innovus. Send me a copy of the UDF, so I will have proof that you have complied. Failure to delete the credit report entries referencing this account within the 3 days will result in my cheerfully filing suit against Asset Acceptance Corporation, as provided for under Federal Law. hey , thank you for input, but YES we sent reg val letter 1-25-03 crrr ... this is for the response to the validation they sent for some other account , and low and behold after getting the magnifying glass out (it is a computer generated paper) there are several reasons why they can not properly validate for other alleged account.
I received the same letter on Tuesday! Was yours stamped on the bottom with This is an attempt to collect a debt. Any Information obtained will be used for that purpose.? Wouldn't this be continued collection efforts without properly validating the account is yours? Not only that but I diputed with them on February 10th and they pulled my report on the 11th. What to do?
I have some experience with Asset. All I can tell you is that if you keep on their tail, they will cave. They did for me. If I'm reading your post correctly, what they sent you was a computer printout. This does not validate a debt, because all it does is verify their file (which is obviously correct since they're sending you letters and reporting you to the CRA's...duh). You need to ask for further validation. They will attenpt to retreive these docs...but many times they cant. You need to push to see the original application and all subsequent biling statements that prove the debt is valid, and the amount is accurate. if they can't produce this, then the debt is invalid and you need to push for deletion. This is what I did and after many many letters and faxes between myself and the executive offices of AA, they caved and stopped verifying when I disputed. It hasn't appeared since, so I must ahve done something right... Good luck to you

What we have been trying to get validation on is a 8yr acct/ do 61/2 yrs dola- paid CO to company OC ----->Orig.Creditor(wfnnb) Asset is still verifying when disputed.. we have had many rounds with Wfnnb as to why they sold it to Asset 2001 after it was paid in full in 97 They removed their TL's from DH report..But AA LLC> just keeps on verifying This is why we are perplexed when we got a Computer generated Validation for some other account ..that is not according to their records is not even DH
