Just checked FICO on CreditExpert and it is DOWN 44 POINTS since yesterday! NOTHING has changed on my CR since yesterday, with the exception of a hard inquiry -- yesterday it indicated 4 in the past six months, today it shows 3.) One of the inquiries was on 12/10/02 and is now more than six months old (although it still shows up on my CR, it is not listed on the CreditExpert dashboard. What possibly could have happened? I currently have three items in dispute, but they have not yet been resolved. They are currently listed as "being investigated" on my CR. Any thoughts? (Besides the fact that FICO is a joke!) Thanks!
Just got off the phone with EXP and they don't have any idea as to why this happened. Told me to wait a few days to see if is a glitch.
On my CR dated today, my CC balances are as follows: CC #1: ***** Last reported: 5/2003 Recent balance: $133 as of 5/2003 CC #2: ***** Last reported: 6/2003 Recent balance: $0 as of 6/2003 I realize that we are now into July and my balances may have changed by a few hundred dollars, but that is not reflected on my current CR and I can't imagine a few hundred dollars would drop me 44 points (I am currently listed at 98% of credit currently available).
Couldn't agree more, RNG is especially prevalent at EQ, they are definately the black sheep in the CRA family
Well ... Merlin, Unbeknownst to most, the CRA's use what's called "score cards". Each Score Card measures slightly differently. I think EQ has 18 different ones, but couldn't be sure. You probably, even though the adjustment was minuscule, got thrown into a different score card. Unfortunately there's no way to find out. The message here is that changes on the actual report are NOT the ONLY factor that creates score changes. Sux I know. Hail Doc if you need more detail.
You are talking about creditexpert here, which is NOT a FICO score. It is a fako score. It is their own inaccurate score they created for consumers. I wouldn't give too much concern to what your creditexpert nonfico score shows. If you want to know what your REAL fico scores are, go to www.myfico.com and you can a fico score for each cra for $12.95 each. Then you'll know if you should be pissed off or not.
Thanks LKH -- after realizing that it wasn't really my FICO I felt a little better (although now my husband's EXP score is higher than mine - darn it!!) I plan on rechecking my actual FICO today, just to be sure.
