I've been tracking my inquiries vigilantly on equifax, while I've been getting bumpage. Now we all been really angry because they wont investigate saying inquiries are a matter of record. Well the other day a soft inquiry "popped" into existence. Incidently, the easy way to count the number of inquiries on your report is to highlight all of them and then paste them into excel.
    Here's my report before:
    _
    _ _ _02/28/2003 Equifax Consumer Services-
    _ _ _ _02/26/2003 ID-Equifax Consumer Services, Inc
    _ _ _ _02/26/2003 Equifax Consumer Services
    _ _ _ _02/26/2003 Equifax Consumer Services-
    _ _ _ _02/25/2003 ID-Equifax Consumer Services, Inc
    And after:
    _ _ _ _
    _ _ _ _02/28/2003 Equifax Consumer Services-
    _ _ _ _02/26/2003 ID-Equifax Consumer Services, Inc
    _ _ _ _02/26/2003 CD-Equifax Consumer Services Incq
    _ _ _ _02/26/2003 Equifax Consumer Services
    _ _ _ _02/26/2003 Equifax Consumer Services-
    _ _ _ _02/25/2003 ID-Equifax Consumer Services, Inc
    _ _ _
Note the "cd" equifax incq did on the 26th. Since its a matter of record, I can only conclude that time travel is possible(I'm sending out the press releases first thing in the morning).

Lastly I wanted to mention that it looks like what decides when you get bumpage seems to depend on what kind and how many inquiries you have. I think some inquiries take up more memory than others with a consumer services inquiry taking up the least amount of room. So as you start getting bumpage the number of inquiries on your list will usually start to increase. Here's how the number of inquiries has changed on my report (usually two or three soft inquires were put on each time) 132 132 131 131 132 133 134 134 134 136.

FYI, if you are using credit watch, you can click on the inquiries tab, and it will give you the total.

lol that would be alot easier than my way ;). Although the excel is still good for seeing which inquiries came off.
