Over the past 3 days, 6 out of 8 hard inquiries have fallen off my EQ report. They weren't due to expire, they're just gone. Anyone else have this happen? Any idea on why it's happening?

I also just had hard inquiries fall off the other day. One was 7 months old and the other 10 months. I still have one more hard inquiry from APril.
They were from October/November 2001. My score has gone up only 23 points but I'll definitely take it!

A few hypotheses ready to be debunked: 1) Are we all CreditWatch customers? 2) Have we all filed small claims lawsuits against Equifax? 3) Have we all disputed inquiries before? I'm sure the answer is no to one or more of these questions. For the life of me, I can't figure out why this is happening to some of us but not to others. Doc

Re: Inquiries falling off on Equifa Did any of you have SOFT INQs disappear? Assuming Doc's first theory is correct, it's possible that when the # of INQs inflates, the system starts getting rid of some. Saar
Re: Inquiries falling off on Equifa There was a thread about this a while back. Most of the inquiries falling off were 6+ months old. An Equifax rep said that they were doing some changes to their system so it's possible that this could be the cause. Whatever it is, I'll take it. I'll have 4 inquiries falling off the next 3 months then...

Re: Inquiries falling off on Equifa I can't say whether or nor soft have fallen off as I admittedly don't pay any attention to them other to see who has been doing PRM inquiries against me recently. The other wierd thing is that there appears to be a lag of one day between when they fall off the credit report and when fico see's that they are gone. On Tuesday night, 3 were gone but fico saw the original 8. On Wednesday night, 2 more were gone but fico saw 5 and Thursday night there were only 2 but fico saw 3.
Re: Inquiries falling off on Equifa I have a 111 inquiries on my EQ. Yes, I have Creditwatch, and 110 of those inquiries are soft. I too have not really paid attention if the softs have been dropped. At the time the two hard inquiries mysteriously vanished, I had 108 inquiries.
