Received a solicitation from a mortgage company to refinance. Called and had a casual conversation of 'what ifs'. Just pulled PG report and they pulled a hard inquiry!! Can they pull without having my SS# or did they somehow obtain it? I didn't give it to them or authorize a pull. Other than calling and asking them to remove, do I have to get into return receipt letters to them?
Wondering, you can call them and ask them to remove, if that is your biggest concern. If they refuse, and you want it gone, you would probably have to write a couple of letters. Pulling your cr without a permissable purpose is a $1000 statutory fine.
