OK, after Lizardking's post yesterday I started going over all of the inquiries on my Eq file. My question, are inquiries with REA-, ERM- and FA- prefixes seen by creditors. How about CSC consumer disclousres (this is my local EQ affiliate)?? I also have one from consumerinfo.com?? Darn it-- now I'm all worried I have to many inquiries!!

This is what I received from EQ:

PRM - This means only your name and address were given to a CC comapny. These remain for 12mo.

AM or AR - These are periodic reviews of your report by one of your existing creditors. These remain for 12mo.

EQ, ACIS or Update - These indicate EQ's response to you requesting a copy of your CR or a response to a dispute.

None of these inquiries appear on the CR's that businesses receive, they are only viewed by you. In other words, these are "soft inquiries".
