I have like 30 inquiries that are all over 12 months old. I just found out my credit score with Equifax was 670. Do you think it's ok to apply for a cc. Or do you think I'd get denied do to my inquiries?
I assume most are "SOFT"...any "HARD" over 12 months old won't hurt your chances for getting a card, BUT any card can DENY for any reason, or NO reason.
No, maybe 25 or so are "hard", and all within a 1 to 2 month period. I had a horrible score and needed to get a car. So I visited a few car dealerships not realizing they would submit it to 4 or 5 financing places. But they are all from 6/00 and before.
I called experian and they deleted 2 enquiries. If the same company has more than 1 hard enquiry within 30 DAYS PERIOD, they will delete but they cannot lump all the enquiries by different companies even if it is the same day while you shop for the car at dealerships. Why are we so ignorant about not knowing these things, I think we have to blame ourselves. I knew it, but still I did it :-(
