OK...what is the deal with how long they stay on a report? I read that inquiries stay on for 2 years for employment purposes and 1 year for any other purpose. I called the FTC and she said the same thing. When I contact the CRAs, they say they stay on for two years. ANY THOUGHTS??? Also, does anyone know how many points it costs you per inquiry on your credit reports?
Maybe you could call the CRA's again and ask for their name and ask if you can have the FTC fax them something clariying the laws so they can do their job correctly? Just a thought.
