Has anyone seen an affect on their score for inquires over 1 year old?

Has anyone seen the "too many inquires" reason code on a report with 0 hard inquires in the last year?

Even though inquires stay on your report for two years, I have seen in multiple locations where they only have an affect on your score for 1 year. Can we verify this?

CE penalizes you for all hard INQs in the last 2 years. Only myFICO doesn't seem to do that.

How about the folks here who had old inquiries fall
off using "Doc's Trick?" Did you see any point jump?

The report I saw had 1 fall off (of 4) and no change in score, but that may be because of the 24 hour *rule*

I'll have them look again in a couple of days and see
if there is a point increase.

CE isn't a real score... nobody uses it.

Fico uses 1 year as the mark for a decrease in score. It's thought that the first 90 days is the worst, with the effect decreasing until it has no effect after 1 year.

RE: CE score. I'm curious, Marie, how it correlates
to the score a lender gets when he pulls Experian.

I know that they are using a different scoring model
than FICO (Privista vs. myfico proves that) but it still
gives a fairly good "snapshot" of the factors that comprise your Experian report, right?
