I wrote to TU about two hard inquiries, stating that there was no permissible purpose. They wrote back they do not remove them and that I should write to the creditor...but there is no contact info on my credit report for these inquiries. What is the proper way to challenge the CRAs on inquiries? Don't they have to investigate them if I ask them to validate them? Thanks for any suggestions. Sincerely, Kristine
I get all inquiries removed. Equifax call them and ask them to investigate Experian call fraud dept. and tell them you have had fradualent activity and can they please investigate inquiries, they will delete all TU only way is bumpage through Privacy Guard has been working well fro me. If you ask me PG is well worth $90 has bumpage on both Eq and Tu plus gives u a good snapshot of all activity on your 3 reports at once every day.
Re: Re: Inquiry deletion question Okay, this is the second time I've read this... Sorry for the Newbie question but... What is bumpage? You pull your own report so much it bumps others off? What about hards? Does it work for those too? Quite curious.. Thank you!!
Re: Re: Inquiry deletion question Call the CRA who reported the inquiries. Get the contact info for the companies that pulled. Then contact them.
Re: Re: Inquiry deletion question The FCRA says you can dispute ANY item of information on your report with the cra's. I think you need to start asking TU what part of the FCRA says they don't need to investigate inq's.

Yay! Yay! Yay! After signing up for PG in Nov 03', I started pulling everday and finally bumpage kicked in today for my TU. I got 2 inquiries removed. I just wanted to thank all the regulars who post and assist this board. You all rock!
