Ok, today I just got made aware that TU only counts hard inquiries against us in the credit score for 12 months. I thought it was 24 months. This is great for me as I will only have 2 inquiries counting against me in a month. I have 5 now. I am scared to pull my new TU report with Fico score attached for $13 as Donna pointed out that when we do this a hard inquiry results. How long do inquiries count against us on EQ and EX when determining a credit score? Is it 24 months for each of these CRA's or is it something less like TU. I realize that the inquiries will show on all 3 credit reports for 24 months.
If you'll read, EQ has been deleting inquiries in 45 days. I think that is a thing of the past now though.
I have read this but it only seems to happen for some of the people who have creditwatch. For others, like George nothing happens. I have 4 hard inquiries on EQ over the last 24 months. I am not about to spend $70 for creditwatch on the off chance that I might get them deleted early. Thanks for the input though.
I GAINED 7 POINTS TODAY FOR GETTING A "HARD" TO GO BYE BYE... But on the OTHER-HAND...I have PAID---->BIG BUCKS...and LOST BIG TIME POINTS!!!
George, is it possible that no one knows how long EX and EQ count hard inquiries against us? You have been around a long time here. Is the fact that TU only penalizes us for 12 months new?
IT'S ALL KEPT SECRET...we can GUESS...and COMPARE NOTES...but PERSON A can do exactly the same thing PERSON B does and they have TOTALLY DIFFERENT RESULTS...
