    Hi Everyone,

I just pulled my P.G report and my score went down 2 points on EQ. I noticed that I had an inquiry posted today from Iplace/Consumerinfo on TU (Go figure). Has anyone ever had these people place a hard on their report? I had consumerinfo, but cancelled it about 3 weeks ago (free trial) I emailed them, we'll see if they respond.

    Hi Lynette,

Yeah I think Consumerinfo does a hard.

I cancelled em anyway. They're not worth it.

I'd make em change it to a soft.

    :)

Call them and tell them there was a mistake. Have them re-code it to a soft.

Thanks you guys. What I don't get is that I cancelled them 3 weeks ago. Why would they pull an inquiry? Do I call Consumerinfo or dispute it with the CB?

When you get your own credit report...IT MUST BE A "SOFT"

lynette, same thing happened to me today. Read the "WARNING.... Privacy Guard" thread. I think P.G. uses consumerinfo and/or iplace.com to pull the inquiry. They must be having a problem or something because this never happened to me before and I have been pulling P.G. reports for almost 2 months now.

I suggest that those who are having this problem, call Privacy Guard tomorrow and make sure they get it changed! The more people who complain about this the more pressure on them to get it fixed immediately.

Thanks. I also have been using P.G for about 2 months now. I will call tomorrow.

Oooohhh so it's a PrivacyGuard issue. I was also surprised. What's funny is that I was with a PG fraud rep on the line over an identity theft issue I am dealing with and she said she had no idea who they were.

At least it wasn't the perp who's been using my social it seems. That's good news :)

I had the exact same problem today and lost two points of EX. It only happened when I pulled yesterday.
