    PLEASE HELP ME????

I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THE ATTITUDE THAT I GET FROM EQUIFAX. I AM TRYING TO DISPUTE IQUIRIES THAT WERE NOT MINE. I SENT EQUIFAX A CERTIFIED LETTER STATING THAT A BUNCH OF INQUIES ON MY CREDIT REPORT, WERE NOT GRANTED BY ME PERMISIBILE OR HAD ANY KNOWLEGE OF THOSE COMPANIES. I TOLD THEM THAT IF THEY WERE NOT GOING TO ALLOW AN INVESTIGATION I WILL FILE A LAWSUIT.

CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG, BUT DOES THE FCRA STATE THAT THE CRA'S MUST INVESTIGIATE ANYTHING THAT IS NOT CORRECT ON MY CREDIT REPORT?

ISN'T THAT A VIOLIATION IF THEY DON'T INVETSTIGATE IT?

IF I WAS TO FILE A SUIT AGAINST THEM, WOULD I FILE IN MY HOME TOWN?

    PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP.

    THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

Actually, from everything I've read is that you should start your pressure on the creditor that pulled your credit. That seems to work the best.

Only person I know of who has filed a lawsuit for an unauthorized inquiry is Christine, who runs bayhouse.com. However, in her case, she filed against the source of the inquiry (Wells Fargo) rather than going after the CRA.

Here's a link to the timeline of events and letters she wrote before they gave in and sent her a check for $1,000.

as the repository of the information they are liable for investigating these items

    review fcra

    def: file
    reinvestigation procedure
    Willful noncomliance
    Negligent noncomplaince

You get less flack if you have a file confusion issue... if you put a consumer statement requesting they verify all identifying information on any application then they give you less flack

You likely will have to sue. Equifax doesn't budge much on threats.. Experian does.. Tu does some
