a creditor sent me a letter stating that they regret that they cannot approve my application at this time based on the info from a CRA. but stated no reason for the denial other than to contact the CRA directly and if I needed to I could request reevaluation at a later time. My CR is not reflecting any inquiries hard or soft. the strange thing is when I called the CRA they informed me that they have no record that this creditor even pulled my report? so what then? is it possible that the CRA are giving creditors info orally and not listing the inquiries? or is the creditor lying? I have no badies and my ficos are low to mid 700s I don't understand this one. any opinions?
Well... Take a look at the fun time I am having with a certain CRA finding inquiries now from MARCH, and in MAY finding inquiries from JANUARY, and FEBRUARY, even though other inquiries from MARCH were showing in MARCH. (And TWO of the inquiries which were showing in MARCH, are from the company which they just found another inquiry from MARCH now.) Try to figure that one up; as soon as I complain about them finding the other ones, they find more... Maybe if I keep asking them, they'll find the location of Jimmy Hoffa in my inquiry files somewhere... And they still don't have any record of the disclosure to the one other company, which the company admitted to in writing. -- Oh, and when I called them when this company named their name as the source of the PRM, the person on the phone claimed that she couldn't see *ANY INQUIRIES* HARD/SOFT/PRM... In your case, you are entitled to ask for, *DEMAND* a list of reasons why your application was denied. Some company's do not put it on the initial adverse action letter, but allow you to request that information.
jam alrighty then, you have floating inquiries? I had a few of those suddenly appear on my credit report dated 2/03 that just showed up one day around 5/04 ironic it took them a whole year to locate an inquiry? lol It wasn't even a company I recognized either I wonder what the PP would have been, I contacted the company at the address the CRA provided and the letter came back undeliverable as addressed. the CRA refused to allow a dispute and claimed it was accurate. whatever I made a copy of the envelope and sent it to them as evidence but no luck the inquiry is still there which gets my goat as it counts against my fico. have you had any success lately?
Well, for some reason the CRA doesn't want to respond to my dispute... I wonder why? Could it be that they'ld possibly be admitting to something that could cost them (well their employee) jail time that the report getter probably wasn't supposed to disclose... Oh, darn, and I provided a copy of the letter disclosing that they disclosed, too...
Jam LOL would love to see their faces when they recieved that letter. are you planning to sue $ for the violations? I wonder if the CRA contacted the puller to discuss their coverup story. man thats crazy at least you have some hard evidence to back up your claims I don't have squat.
