I have been disputing items on my Experian credit report, specifically inquiries. I had 11 inquiries all within the last year. I now only have 7, as four of them have been deleted! Woo-hoo! How much did I just help my score? How much better would my score be if I just had 2 or 3 inquiries?
The 4 you had deleted, were they within the last 6 months?? They seem to cause the most damage and most have said they have gained 2 points per removal if they were within the last 6 months.
Here are the inquirers and the dates they inquired: 1. Providian Financial, 4/03/2000 2. FNB Brookings, 12/26/2000 3. AFBA Industrial Bank, 1/08/2001 4. American Express, 1/12/2001 3 More Inquires are pending, of which 2 were made within the last 6 months.
