Do pre-employment credit check inquiries effect your credit score?

If you authorize the inquiry, yes, it will have an effect. It will be a hard inquiry, not a soft.

I understand that I have authorized it. But is just not seem right that it should affect my score being I am not applying for credit. Thanks for your reply. :)

I definitely agree. Supposedly, employers use your credit report gauge your personal character from your creditworthiness. Also, the employer would likely pull a report on you if you were going to be handling money within the company. Is this something you will be doing?

No cash handling (or any other access to funds) what so ever.
