some where on here i read about a way to remove inquirys using some sorta of trick. does this still work and if so how is it done?
Ahhh, Doc's Tricks. http://consumers.creditnet.com/stra...threadid=24359&perpage=20&pgnum=&pagenumber=1 Not sure if it still works or not. Can't hurt to try - as George would say "You have nothing to lose but the Baddies"
The so-called "trick" no longer works. Basically, even though Experian had removed the major links to their old dispute-inquiry pages, they hadn't removed the pages themselves. Now they have. Sorry you missed out on that little interim window. (Not that it will make you feel any better, but we've all missed out on stuff from time to time.) Best, Doc
Doc - Do you think they'll honor the disputes that were entered earlier? Just to be safe I printed out a page today, but something tells me to not get my hopes up...
Hmm, dfwgt, I dunno. Some Creditnet members are reporting delayed deletions though: http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&pgnum=1&postid=175815 In my case, I had 1 hard inquiry and a handful of soft inquiries deleted right away (all older than a year). The remaining ones still show as "in dispute" so I'm expecting an answer on those anytime now too. Doc
does it only work through creditexpert? or can i do it by viewing my report at the bureaus site themselves? also what is creditexpert?
You can do it through Experian's website (I check it daily), but you would need a report # CreditExpert is a service from Experian. For $79.95 you can monitor your credit report, get notifications if something changes, etc. Doc - no problem. I was just curious since noone has posted any results after the first day. Guess I'll find out soon enough.
If you can dispute on the PHONE or by MAIL...what is the BENEFIT of NO on-line??? If they refused all DISPUTES...then I could see no on-line...
Ditto-ing George, PENDING PENDING PENDING All that were over 1 year old were deleted within a few days, the balance are PENDING PENDING PENDING, resolution date is 5-17. Guess I'll know then for sure. Sassy
well i used to get inquiries deleted the regular way when it WAS allowed on CE.. and it took close to 30-40 days for it to actually get removed from me CE. I did get a TON of new credit reports in the mail though.. letting me know that its in dispute. none have come yet after the doc trick tho.
By allowing the disputes, the CRA has essentially admitted their legality ipso facto muckto puckto ad te clemamus mater miscericordiae, vito dulcedo et spes nostra, salve, salve, credito cardo. Sorry, got carried away a bit. By allowing the disputes, the CRA has essentially admitted their legality. Doc
